How I support students

Support that fits your child

1:1 Chemistry Tutoring (with me)

This is my most personalised option, and it’s where I work directly with your child in a one-to-one setting.

I take time to understand how your child thinks and where topics don’t yet make sense to them. Lessons are paced carefully, and ideas are revisited until they genuinely make sense.
This option works well for students who:
  • Feel capable but lack confidence.
  • Understand topics in lessons but struggle in exams.
  • Need structured guidance and continuity.

Includes

  • Individually planned lessons
  • Clear explanations tailored to the student
  • Gradual development of exam technique
  • Lesson recordings for revision
  • Ongoing feedback and direction

Small Group Chemistry Tutoring (2 students, with me)

For families who want a more affordable option while working with me, I offer small-group tutoring for 2 students.

These sessions work best when:
  • Students are peers or classmates
  • They follow the same curriculum and syllabus
  • They are at a similar stage in the course
Because I work across multiple curricula and time zones, I’m unable to form groups myself. Instead, families are welcome to approach me with a ready-formed group (for example, friends from the same class or school).

What stays the same:

  • I teach all sessions myself
  • Lessons remain structured and concept-focused
  • Exam technique is still built in carefully
  • Lesson recordings are provided

What’s different:

  • Lessons are shared between 2 students
  • Pace is slightly more collaborative
  • Cost per student is lower than 1:1

Curriculum-Specific Chemistry Support

Each curriculum—IB, AP, GCSE, IGCSE, and A-Level—has distinct expectations and assessment styles.
That’s why I offer curriculum-specific chemistry support, rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.
You can explore tutoring aligned to your child’s syllabus here:
  • 👉 IB Chemistry tutoring
  • 👉 AP Chemistry support
  • 👉 GCSE Chemistry tutoring
  • 👉 IGCSE Chemistry tutoring
  • 👉 A-Level Chemistry tutoring

Each option is carefully aligned with what students are expected to understand and how they are examined.

What lessons are like

Lessons are designed to be calm, focused, and encouraging, supporting students who might feel anxious about chemistry.
  • Students are encouraged to ask questions freely, without hesitation.
  • Mistakes are treated as a natural part of learning, not as failure.
  • Concepts are introduced and connected at the student’s pace, never rushed.
  • Lesson time is used efficiently, with a clear focus on understanding.
  • Progress is built steadily over time, rather than through last-minute cramming.
Parents often say their child feels more relaxed and clearer after lessons. That matters.

Students I Work With Internationally

I work with students and families across multiple time zones, supporting international chemistry curricula through online lessons that fit different school systems and exam calendars.
A large part of my work is with students based across Europe, the Middle East, and East Asia, as well as families in the United States.
I regularly support students studying in and across:
  • Europe (including the United Kingdom and mainland Europe)
  • Middle East (including the United Arab Emirates)
  • Japan
  • Hong Kong
  • China
  • United States
If you’re based elsewhere and following an international chemistry curriculum such as IB, AP, GCSE, IGCSE, or A-Level, you’re very welcome to get in touch. I work across time zones where schedules align.

Is this the right fit?

This is likely a good fit if:

  • Your child feels overwhelmed or unsure in chemistry.
  • They understand concepts in lessons but struggle in exams.
  • You value clarity, structure, and communication.
  • Your child is willing to practise between lessons (even small weekly practice makes a big difference).
  • You value high-quality, personalised tutoring and long-term progress.

This may not be the best fit if:

  • You’re only looking for last-minute cramming
  • You want someone to “just give the answers”
  • You don’t want to practise between lessons
  • You are looking for grade guarantees
  • Price matters more than quality

My Story

My Journey: Reflecting on my tutoring journey takes me back to my high school days. Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology were my primary subjects, but unfortunately, some weren’t taught satisfactorily. l need extra support. However, back then, quality online tutoring wasn’t an option, and the logistics of reaching a tutor were challenging as my preferred tutor lived far away, making it difficult for my father to drive me there.

Determined to excel, I took matters into my own hands. I invested in comprehensive study materials and question banks for each subject. Alongside my textbooks, I meticulously delved into the pages, striving to grasp concepts and master every question from basic to advanced levels. During lunch breaks, I shared my newfound knowledge with peers who struggled to comprehend the material. Their positive feedback fueled my motivation to tutor. They expressed how my explanations resonated with them more than those of our teachers, finding clarity in what once seemed complex.

Soon, my desk became a hub of learning, attracting a flock of students seeking assistance. Classmates sought me out for quick clarifications on specific doubts or problems, and I took pride in resolving them swiftly yet comprehensively. My secret lay in empathizing with their struggles, having been there myself. I prioritized correcting misconceptions, filling learning gaps, and establishing solid foundations before delving into advanced concepts. Only when I ensured a strong grasp of fundamentals did I introduce alternative tips and tricks for quicker problem-solving.

My dedication paid off as I emerged as the top student in my class by the end of grade 12. This journey not only solidified my understanding of the subjects but also ignited a passion for teaching, rooted in empathy and a commitment to fostering genuine comprehension among my peers.

My Mission

My mission is to empower students with personalized, accessible, and effective online Chemistry tutoring, rooted in empathy and a deep understanding of their academic challenges. I strive to fill learning gaps, correct misconceptions, and build strong foundations, ensuring every student who connects with me achieves mastery in the subject and gains confidence in their abilities.

My Vision

My vision is to revolutionize the online tutoring experience by providing unparalleled support and guidance to students worldwide. Through my commitment to empathetic teaching, I aim to inspire a love for learning, foster academic success, and empower students to overcome obstacles and reach their full potential. I envision a future where every student has access to quality education and personalized support, regardless of geographical barriers or financial constraints.
